Nobody in my area could give me a definitive answer on where i could secure that first bottle i needed to get my welding rig up and running. I ordered this and was able to trade it right in to my local Airgas for a filled bottle. Kind of hurts your feelings a little to turn in a new bottle to get a scratched up older bottle in return, but whatever. I got what i needed.

Airgas claims they no longer sell these smaller bottles due to a shortage….go figure. I double checked with my local store first then purchased this one to exchange for an older full bottle of nitrogen. It’s the times we live in now. More money to get what you need

Great product and the perfect size for the mig welding I am doing which is mostly automotive restore. I got it filled at a local welding supply and have not run out of the first fill yet.

I was very excited to discover that this tank holds 40 cubic feet of nitrogen, exactly as advertised!
Todd Rosseau –
Nice clean bottle that works very well.

When I got the product the knob was broken making it unusable.More care in shipping is needed. This was a nitrogen tank with a possible 2500 psi to put in it. It needs a knob.
Darrell McCandless –
Very nice, just as promised.

I’m using it at home for my TIG welding rig….which I don’t use vety often. I needed a smaller tank that wouldn’t take up too much space. This size is perfect for me.

I traded the tank in at local supply house for a full tank. Price is about the same as their “core” charge, I might have saved a few bucks. Everything worked out well.

Ordered to get a replacement full. Worked great. Fast shipping. To bad the trade in didn’t look as good as the new one.

Most places–at least near me–do not fill argon tanks, and require that you swap the cylinder for a filled one, so keep this in mind.I purchased this and was able to successfully swap it for a filled cylinder at Airgas. Going this route saved something like $20-40 compared to buying the cylinder directly from them. It had the correct cert/markings for exchange, no issues whatsoever.!!! –> If you live in a rural area and are supplied by an Airgas satellite branch, you will probably need to call them ahead of time to let them know you want them to call in a 40 cu ft. argon tank from their central hub/distributor. They let me request this, and held it for me for a short time at no charge with no strings attached (if I didn’t end up needing to swap for it they would have sold it to someone else or eventually moved it to another location).

The 40 cu ft cylinder looks nice, but I couldn’t find a local supplier that would provide filled bottle and getting this one filled would take about three weeks. In the end, I was able to pay $30 to upgrade to a 60 cu ft cylinder + $38 for argon. In total, this is still less than what I would have paid for a filled 52 cu ft tank purchased locally.

Great product

As one of the other reviewers wrote, it was a shame to trade this tank in for a refilled tank.
